Arché Winery - Saint Jo, Texas

Located in the heart of Texas' Red River Valley, this estate vineyard is producing some quality grapes that are worth the price of gas to make the trip.  The vineyards were planted in 1999; however the winery opened in 2007.  Wines currently available are Roussanne, 228 blend, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Tempranillo.  The surrounding scenery is a good place to savor a glass of wine while you visit. The drive up the gravel dirt road toward the vineyard is scenic in a beautiful country setting.  We enjoyed the winery and their wines as well as our short visit with the family running it. Watch out for the speed limit sign as you drive up the drive way!
