Albariño – 2021; Raimat; Catalonia, Spain

Wow, what a refreshing and crisp Albarñio to have. Cultivated in the Costers del Segre wine region, this white wine offers a bright aromatic tropical nose featuring grapefruit and mango. It pours a yellow hue with some noticeable legs for this medium bodied white wine. Melding with the initial tropical notes are subtle lemon and flavors of pear, melon and nectarine on the mid-palate. You will also find that it has some good minerality to it that rounds things out. The wine is splendid alone, but even better when paired with food, so don’t be afraid to enjoy with a meal or hors d’oeuvres.  ¡Salud!
