Nothing
better, than thoroughly enjoying some bad-ass Mourvèdre grown in Mason
County. This medium bodied Hill Country
fruit has got those enticing floral aromas going for it plus some delicious
berry notes and a hint of pepper. Add to that a bit of that earthiness of the
future Hickory Sands AVA and you have one fantastic wine that you will
thoroughly enjoy. Savor this one over the course of the evening as it just
continues to get better with every sip. Cheers!
Wine Of The Moment is just that. A moment of trying out a new bottle of wine and sharing our thoughts and impressions. There is no planned wine bottle that is to be opened or set time that it will be tasted. It is what ever just happens to be opened...for the moment. On occasion, we may also post our feedback on new wineries that we have visited as well as unique cheeses. So, pull up your own plate of cheese, crackers, and fruit and enjoy these discussions.

Cabernet Sauvignon – 2018; Blackmon Wines; Mason, Texas
As
one of the first wine releases, it is an extra special treat to feature this
fine crafted wine. There is definitely a lot to say about Bill Blackmon and his
contribution to the Texas wine industry, but let’s get straight to this wine.
Sourced from the Blackmon Ranch Vineyard of the Texas Hill Country AVA, this
hand crafted jewel will reflect the essence of everything that is great about
