Moscato D’Asti – 2006; Dezzani Winery; Asti, Italy

This “bubbly” wine is light, gently fizzy and very crisp to the pallet with a clean finish.  It has fragrances of citrus and honey.  It is low in alcohol and sweet, buy not syrupy sweet.  It is like a slightly effervescent cousin of a true Asti Spumante, only delightfully sweet and fruitful.  If you’re looking for a not-so-typical Moscato, then this is a light and refreshing alternative to peak your interest.  It pairs nicely with slightly spicy dishes, with brunch, and also stands on its own to be enjoyed as a nice after dinner wine. Enjoy!
