Alicante Bouschet – 2017; 7 Creeks Vineyard; Burnet, Texas

This Texas High Plains sourced varietal makes a nice wine to enjoy any time of day. It has a lovely garnet color that entices you as you reach for that initial sip. The fruit froward red wine expresses cranberry notes with a touch of cedar underneath and a nice lingering leather note on the finish. The smooth tannins are equally pleasing for this lovely one. It is a great wine pleaser and is drinking well right now, so do enjoy if you have any cellared. Cheers!
