V - 2018; Casa Madero; Valle de Parras, Mexico

What a special treat it is to enjoy a wine from the oldest winery in North America. This 2018 Rosé was made from Cabernet Sauvignon. Those initial notes of strawberries and apricots really leave you anticipating a great wine for the summer months. There might be some peach in there as well for that added dimension, but you will no doubt experience the pleasure of sipping this refreshing fruity Rosé. There is a distinct minerality to this jewel, too, which adds to the complexity of this beauty. With moderate acidity and a touch of lemon, this chilled jewel is worth every sip on a sweltering afternoon and pairs well with cheese plates, salads, and spring and summer dishes. The longer the wine is in the glass the more those strawberry notes really come alive. Cheers!
