Estate
grown fruit from Mason County is a jewel to savor these days. This Pinot Grigio
from Peters Prairie Vineyard is no exception. Although the vineyard has been
around a while, this is the first release of this varietal from the new owners.
It has quite a tropical aroma with notes of mangos and star fruit (yes, going
out on a limb here). Chilled, it is a
great warm weather sipper with a zesty feel and a tart finish. As an award
winner in the Lone Star and San Francisco International wine competitions, it
has already earned some respectable professional points. You will be pleased with this one and we look
forward to trying further releases. Cheers!
Wine Of The Moment is just that. A moment of trying out a new bottle of wine and sharing our thoughts and impressions. There is no planned wine bottle that is to be opened or set time that it will be tasted. It is what ever just happens to be opened...for the moment. On occasion, we may also post our feedback on new wineries that we have visited as well as unique cheeses. So, pull up your own plate of cheese, crackers, and fruit and enjoy these discussions.
