This
2018 release of Petite Sirah from Newsom Vineyards is quite a treat to relish.
Plums and cherries are the primary notes you will get followed by some
raspberries. It is moderately dry with
medium acidity and just a notch above medium bodied. You will note some leather and a touch of
vanilla after that initial sip along with an elegant smooth finish. Although you could pair this red jewel with
some fine dishes, it is just superb drinking on its own while enjoying the
evening sunset. Cheers!
Wine Of The Moment is just that. A moment of trying out a new bottle of wine and sharing our thoughts and impressions. There is no planned wine bottle that is to be opened or set time that it will be tasted. It is what ever just happens to be opened...for the moment. On occasion, we may also post our feedback on new wineries that we have visited as well as unique cheeses. So, pull up your own plate of cheese, crackers, and fruit and enjoy these discussions.
