This
100% Estate Grown really explodes with some big flavors. A lot of that may be attributed to the great
2017 vintage year for Texas wines. This means if you have any of these bottles
for that year, savor them! You will first notice the nice inky pour followed by
some big black aromatic fruit. There is
a touch of tobacco in the air for tease.
The flavor profile comes out big on cherries and plums with a touch of
vanilla. There is also a hint of chocolate for an extra surprise. The medium acidity seems to hold well for
this Hill Country red wine. The firm tannins will remind you how bold this wine
can be. There is a lot going for this medium bodied red, so you still have many
years of enjoyment to repeat over and over if you hold on to them and cellar a
while longer. Cheers!
Wine Of The Moment is just that. A moment of trying out a new bottle of wine and sharing our thoughts and impressions. There is no planned wine bottle that is to be opened or set time that it will be tasted. It is what ever just happens to be opened...for the moment. On occasion, we may also post our feedback on new wineries that we have visited as well as unique cheeses. So, pull up your own plate of cheese, crackers, and fruit and enjoy these discussions.
