Trebbiano – 2019; Duchman Family Winery; Driftwood, Texas

Ahh… nothing like a good refreshing chilled Trebbiano to pair with some summer fish dishes! Sourced from Bingham Family Winery of the Texas High Plains AVA, this white wine is full of tropical notes especially lime. Apples and pears will also round out the tasting profile.  The acids are big and there is light oak on this one with the slightest bit of effervescence.  The finish has a touch of rosemary for an added twist.  This Trebbiano did win the double gold 2021 San Francisco International Wine Competition, so hats off for that. It is drinking well now, but it would not hurt to try another bottle in a couple of years and see what happens.  Enjoy!
