Tempranillo – 2020; William Chris Vineyards; Hye, Texas

Racing in at 15.5 abv, this big red wine leaves nothing to despair. Sourced from the famous Newsom Vineyard of the Texas High Plains AVA, this high alcohol red wine seems well integrated on the overall tasting profile without the hot or burning sensation one might assume.  It’s bold with big tannins with notes of cherries, figs, and some blackberry. There is just the right amount of acid in this stout red wine to suit every hard-core Texas Tempranillo fan. Plan for a great pairing adventure with this special treat. Cheers, y’all!
