Get
ready for a big Cab to smack you silly.
Sourced from Narra Vineyards of the Texas High Plains, this beauty is
worthy of your attention. At 15.9% alcohol, you might think this Cabernet
Sauvignon would be too much of a “hottie”.
Alas, the magic of the winemaker as integrated this high alcohol wine
quite well. There is no doubt that the
black cherry notes will dominate your senses from A to Z. Those cocoa notes fill in some of the gaps
and that licorice will hit just the right taste buds for a pleasing surprise.
There is also a silky feel to this wine making it very enjoyable. The
tantalizing acids are good, and those tannins are at just the right level for
that jaw puckering finish. It is drinking really well now, but this wine could sit
a bit longer if you want to see how to evolve. Santé!
Wine Of The Moment is just that. A moment of trying out a new bottle of wine and sharing our thoughts and impressions. There is no planned wine bottle that is to be opened or set time that it will be tasted. It is what ever just happens to be opened...for the moment. On occasion, we may also post our feedback on new wineries that we have visited as well as unique cheeses. So, pull up your own plate of cheese, crackers, and fruit and enjoy these discussions.
