These
red blends from Sister Creek have always been a great reliable and consistent
wine to drink. Add the great 2017 vintage year to this bottle and you have a
masterpiece! This 2017 Vintner’s
Collection series is a Bordeaux Meritage-style wine of Cabernet Sauvignon 59%,
Petit Verdot 18%, Merlot 9%, Syrah 9%, and Malbec 5%. The deep red color pour and fruit forward
aromas are quite a delight. You will get
some blackberry notes on the nose followed by some delightful plums. The flavors of cranberry and cherry join in
the tasting mélange in each sip. This red wine blend has some great complexity
and with just the right level of acids to round things out. You will be pleased with the spot-on tannins
along with a nice long finish. This
truly is a great wine to have, so pair your best dish! Cheers!
Wine Of The Moment is just that. A moment of trying out a new bottle of wine and sharing our thoughts and impressions. There is no planned wine bottle that is to be opened or set time that it will be tasted. It is what ever just happens to be opened...for the moment. On occasion, we may also post our feedback on new wineries that we have visited as well as unique cheeses. So, pull up your own plate of cheese, crackers, and fruit and enjoy these discussions.
