A field blend from some of the old estate vines, this
76-month barrel aged beast is one to be savored well. Equal parts of Merlot,
Touriga Nacional, and Ruby Cabernet comprise this majestic red wine. Let this
wine breathe for about an hour before sipping. You will notice even two hours
later that the tasting notes are continuing to evolve and develop for your
tasting pleasure. The pour is mostly ruby colored with notes of rich
blueberries filling the surrounding air. Red berries and a touch of violet are
mixed in there, as well. Call this one
medium bodied with good acidity that persists and polished tannins with a touch
of earthy undertones. It is still age
worthy and will pair nicely with your next festive meal. Cheers!
Wine Of The Moment is just that. A moment of trying out a new bottle of wine and sharing our thoughts and impressions. There is no planned wine bottle that is to be opened or set time that it will be tasted. It is what ever just happens to be opened...for the moment. On occasion, we may also post our feedback on new wineries that we have visited as well as unique cheeses. So, pull up your own plate of cheese, crackers, and fruit and enjoy these discussions.
