This
mystery red blend just might surprise you in more ways than one. As part of the
winemaker series, you just never know what might be created based on
inspiration or experimentation. The 2017
vintage certainly contributed nicely to this delicious red wine blend. At
first, you will notice that the color is quite opaque as you let it breathe for
about an hour. This beauty needs some time to unfold and unpack all it has to
offer. On the nose, this one has a lot of different fruit aromas to offer with plum,
blackberry, and little bit of strawberry being the primary notes. The tannins
and structure are quite strong for this very dry wine and the acids are on the
high side, too. Given that it is also a heavy bodied wine, pick your favorite
big bold red wine food pairing and feast away. It is worth your cellar room
storage to save and sample again in a few years, as well. You’ll be very
delighted with this lovely bottle and really liked the unique artwork as well. Cheers
and well done!
Wine Of The Moment is just that. A moment of trying out a new bottle of wine and sharing our thoughts and impressions. There is no planned wine bottle that is to be opened or set time that it will be tasted. It is what ever just happens to be opened...for the moment. On occasion, we may also post our feedback on new wineries that we have visited as well as unique cheeses. So, pull up your own plate of cheese, crackers, and fruit and enjoy these discussions.
