Malbec – 2012; William & Chris Vineyards; Hye, Texas

If you’ve ever wondered how well your William & Chris wine stash would hold up over the years, then this one will please you.  The plum color pour and smoky cherry aromas really unfold in this 9-year-old wine.  Blackberry and cranberry flavors are still intact with touch of pepper on the finish. No signs of downturn on this beauty. With medium acidity and some earthy elements to add to your tasting enjoyment, you can certainly open a bottle now, or continue to keep this one a while longer. It is still showing to be a pleaser after all these years. Cheers!
